1-7-12 Cousins and American Girl Dolls

After dance today I picked up Jaedyn and Mya to bring them to Mema's house to play.  Jaedyn and Mya got an American Girl doll for Christmas and Summer has had her for a few months.  The girls always make sure that when they see each other that they bring their dolls so they can play with them.  Summer and Jaedyn played with the dolls for quite awhile.  Mema even asked if she could call Kael and tell him they were all there and Jaedyn said not for a few hours were playing dolls.  They played very nice and even shared the doll clothes with each other.

1-6-12 Facetime with daddy!

Today I worked late.  I didn't get home until about 7:30  When I got home the kids were just lounging around waiting on me.  Summer was watching a movie on our television and she thought it was funny that I was going to take a picture of her.

 Then daddy called us from his ipad.  My phone has facetime and so does his ipad so we can call each other using facetime while he is away and the kids and I are still able to see him and he is able to see us.  The kids really like to be able to do this and it helps them not miss him quite as much.

 Here they are both talking to him.  Gunnar likes to hog the phone when he sees daddy on it and he moves it around like crazy and makes daddy get sea sick lol.

 This last picture makes me laugh.  Every night Gunnar finds something in his room that he does not want in there while he is sleeping.  Tonight it was all of his shoes!  The bag and tractor were from the night before!!  

Two kids and a messy car!

For the last 3 years I have practically lived in my car, driving back and forth to Enid.  I had my fair share of messiness in the front seat, but my goodness, you should have seen the back seat.  I didn't know that 2 kids could cause so much stickiness, gooeyness, and clutter.  The clothes, toys, trash, etc. was starting to pile up.  It was down right embarrassing, but today this  momma made use of her time off and the beautiful weather and cleaned that car up.  I could now actually have a back seat passenger.  I hope it stays clean longer than it normally does. ha

As you can tell I had lots of help vacuuming the car!

Reading with daddy

We are always trying to get Summer in the mood to read.. She has to have the AR points plus we want her to keep improving on her reading skills, which I might add she is an excellent reader.  So tonight daddy asked Summer to read with her and of course Bub had to go get his book and read too.  It's always good to start them young I guess.  It was very cute and they got to spend some quality time with their daddy.

Siblings

My kids are like most siblings.  They get along most of the time but they also have their battles!  Today after school both kids were being so quiet so I had to go see what they were doing.  Summer got home from school and Gunnar was in her room watching Chuggington.  He loves choo choos.  Summer sat right down with him and watched his show with him.  I thought it was a sweet sight.

Shelby took Gunnar and I out to shoot today. I shot 3 different guns! I got a glock, an AR 15, and a 22. Gunnar even shot the 22. He had a lot of fun and he is so interested we are making sure he doesn't know where we hide these guns. He loves them. He has a toy gun that he carries around with him all the time. I guess it's the boy in him. It was fun to get outside and enjoy some fresh air with my 2 favorite boys! Here's the pics.

Well I don't know what happened to the pic but it took so long to upload I'm not going to do it again. I'm cooking dinner for my family. Something I haven't been able to do for the last several years. So no time for fixing the photo now. Oh well!

Happy New Year 2012

Bring on the new year! I think 2012 is going to be a great year. Shelby and I get to celebrate our 10th anniversary this year in March, and who knows what else is to come.

I'm once again going to try and do the a year in the life of pictures. Maybe this year since I won't be working much I will have the time and energy to keep up with it.

Here are my 1st pictures of the new year. Gunnar absolutely loves his rock star mickey. Tonight he was mimicking whatever mickey would do. He even went and got his guitar so he could be just like Mickey. Gunnar is such a sweet boy that loves to cuddle and such a mommies boy. We love him more than words could explain.
